d with the courteous medical staff the nurses and the Anesthesiologist. The hospital was very nice, better than what I have in my home town in Georgia. The treatment I received was wonderful I couldn’t have asked for a better hospital stay or hotel stay! Now about my Doctor. He was the most helpful, kind, intelligent, friendly, professional Doctor I ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Barrera performed an awesome surgery! He even sent me home with the DVD of the laparoscopic surgery he did so I would have it in case I needed to show any of my doctors in the states. His level of care I have never had before here in Georgia. I couldn’t say anything but great things about my experience from the driver to the coordinator and the office staff. Everyone was amazing. It was the smoothest surgery I have ever had. I was shocked by being able to leave the hospital after one night stay because I just wasn’t hurting. This doctor is a Gem and I just can’t say or thank him and his staff enough for this wonderful opportunity to work with them! I am 2 weeks post op and down 20 pounds. d peptide hormone resistant diabetes and ALL my numbers have improved since having had the procedure. I could not get the VSG done in the United States because my BMI didn’t meet the standard requirements. Also, because of these BMI requirements my health insurance would not pay for it no matter how sick I was. I would recommend this treatment for anyone in my position, or to someone who just wanted to get rid of their unhealthy weight. The price is super reasonable. I had the best experience. Nydia, one of the coordinators, took care of all the arrangements, I just had to get to Monterrey. I really liked the fact that my procedure would be done in a hospital instead of a clinic, especially since I had never had surgery before and didn’t know how I would do under anesthesia. The hospital was beautiful, and so clean. The nutritionist and internist were very nice and professional. The best of all was my surgeon Dr.Francisco Barrera. He was so knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone thinking about having any kind of bariatric procedure. ”

id not encounter any of those symptoms. I had the balloon inserted October 21st Friday and today is Tuesday 25th October and I did not vomit or have any major discomfort. I was 152llbs before the balloon as of today’s date I am 147llbs. Really really Happy. I was very frustrated and disappointed in my weight. I was at 152llbs Female 39 years exercises 4- 5 days a week, from Houston TX. I started looking for the gastric balloon and contacted over 50 different clinics. I was immediately contacted by Monterrey Gastro & Bariatric Group coordinator Nydia. She was super-efficient and set up a phone consultation with the doctor. Everything from transportation, accommodation scheduling of appointment was above excellent. Paty, Nydia, My driver, Dr. Barrera and his team I cannot remember the other two doctors were so professional, courteous and efficient. Before the balloon was placed the Doctors were all making jokes with me so I was at ease. And they eased my concerns and nervousness from going to have this procedure by myself in Monterrey. Now that I am back in the USA I could not imagine doing this anywhere else. Most importantly the doctor and the staff answered every single question did not rush me even explained the paperwork I was signing. iatric group was not only because of the referral of a friend, more than anything it was the communication between the staff and myself prior to me flying out to Monterrey for the first time. I had several conversations with other doctors offices and their staff but the communication was nothing compared to the Monterrey Gastro and Bariatric Group. Any questions I had from payment process, flying out of the country and what documentation I would need to the actual day of surgery. They were just a text or a phone call away. It didn’t take me long after speaking to the Houston coordinator and the doctors assistant, that they would be my only choice! They kept in contact with me before, during and after the surgery. The process to Monterrey was as smooth as any flight here in the US. The staff was courteous enough to keep in touch with me at all times and drive me to and from places like the airport, labs and to the hospital and on my release from surgery and back to airport.
